About

My name
is Chris Dickert.
Nice to meet you.

I am an award-winning strategic communicator, copywriter, and graphic designer living and working in Metro Vancouver, on the unceded and traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

I started Scally Cap in 2012 so I could work with interesting people, doing interesting things. I have been privileged to work with clients in the postsecondary, cultural, and technology sectors on a bevy of different projects, from websites to magazines.

Along the way I’ve learned a lot and met some fantastic people. I even managed to win a couple awards and get a few letters after my name: CAPM, CMP, MA and RGD.

When I’m not writing or designing, you can find me playing the banjo, chasing after my nine-year-old as he beats his old man at soccer again, or teaching my eleven-year-old how to draw horses legs.

If you have a project that needs some writing or graphic support, I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line or connect with me on social media.
